For the remembrance week of the genocide accomplished against the Tutsi in Rwanda in 1994, the Islamic Cultural Centre of Rwanda organized a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Museum on the morning of Friday 26 May 2023. The visiting delegation was made up of representatives of the Centre's administration, workers, teachers and students of the Centre's school. As members begun the visit, a wreath of flowers was laid at the museum's mass graves site, which includes the remains of approximately 250,000 victims of the terrible massacres that took the lives of at least one million citizens in different parts of the Republic of Rwanda. The delegation members of the Islamic culture Centre followed the explanations which were delivered to them by the man in charge of the museum, and elated them different stages of the history before and during the genocide, then finished by the period of national reconciliation between Rwandans. The museum has in its exhibition static and dynamic images, samples of victims’ belonging, also tools and weapons that were used in the killing of people. The museum has in possession documentary pavilions for subjects related to the question of the genocide under different aspects like human, cultural and social.
