On the twenty-sixth of the blessed month of Ramadan, corresponding to March 26, 2025, the Muhammad Bashir Al-Maghribi Hall at the Center hosted the closing ceremony of the annual Quran memorization competition organized by the Islamic Cultural Center during this holy month. (178) male and female contestants from various regions of Rwanda participated in this competition, divided into nine categories, the lowest being memorizing two parts of the Holy Quran and the highest being memorizing the entire Quran. At the aforementioned ceremony, certificates of participation and prizes were distributed to the top-ranked winners. The ceremony was attended by the Center's Director General, the Financial Officer, the Mufti of the Republic of Rwanda, representatives of several embassies (Libya, Morocco, Senegal, Sudan), a number of imams, preachers, and guests, in addition to the male and female participants in the competition. The participants expressed their thanks and gratitude to the Center and the Joint Committee for organizing this Quranic activity every year, demonstrating the Center's interest in Quran memorization and honoring its people.
