On Thursday 06 March 2025, the sixth of the holy month of Ramadan, the annual Quran competition organized by the Islamic Cultural Center in Kigali was inaugurated. The competition will continue until the 19th of Ramadan with the participation of 178 male and female contestants from the city of Kigali and the provinces, distributed over nine branches, the lowest of which is memorizing two parts of the Holy Quran and the highest of which is memorizing the entire Holy Quran. The opening of the competition in the Mohammed Bashir Al-Mughrabi Hall at the center was attended by the General Director of the center, the Imam of the mosque, the President of the Senate on behalf of the Mufti of Rwanda, the Imam of the city of Kigali, the Director of the secondary school at the center, members of the judging committee, and a number of guests, male and female students.
